About the New Life School of Ministry
Purpose:
To provide discipleship to the hearts and minds of those sincerely
committed to a life in Christ and a lifestyle of Christianity, and
challenge individuals seeking to broaden their knowledge and Godly
experiences through a deeper spiritual and practical understanding of
the Bible and the Local Church. Developing spiritual and cognitive
alignment with the Christian worldview is meaningful and fulfilling;
brief descriptions of Advance Classes will be provided prior to
registration to help you decide which session to take first!
Objective: To provide practical principles and knowledge in the areas of doctrine, leadership, ministries, prayer, and Christian living. Experience a deeper ministry involvement and find how best to utilize your specialized skills and talents in the Local Church, marriage & family, and the workforce, i.e., government, education, business and economy, media & music, medicine, the military, fire and police, and relevant organizations within the community, state, region and nation.
Fellowship:
Partake in a variety of eight-week sessions made available several
times a year at NLWC, and enjoy the company of old and new friends
while soaking in the light of highly relevant topics such as prayer,
New Testament study, leadership, evangelism, GroundZero teens,
parenting, weight control, and gym activities for ages 12 and younger!
Participants have found that these mid-week classes further attune a
personal understanding of practical Christianity, which in turn,
strengthens New Life Worship Center as a corporate church.

SEMESTER II COURSE DESCRIPTIONS
Pathways to New Life
- If you have decided to become a partner of New Life join this class.
This course is a prerequisite to partnership and is designed to provide
you with an understanding of the history, doctrine and beliefs of New Life. You will also gain a greater understanding of
the core values of the church and how to achieve your purpose and
destiny in God.
Essentials to a Victorious Christian Life
- If you've taken the Pathways to New Life course, this course is a
good next fit in developing your Christian walk. This class focuses on
the spiritual foundation of the life of every believer including
repentance, faith, water baptism, baptism of the Holy Spirit, and local
church commitment.
Basic Christian Doctrine I
- This course is an introductory systematic study of some of the major
doctrines of the Bible including the doctrines of Scripture, God, Man,
Sin and Satan.
The Confident Christian Woman - Women
are God's precious gift to the world in ministering the Gospel of Jesus
Christ. They've been given influence to glorify God, and when they
become confident of their influence, they become very dangerous to
satan's kingdom and live a daily life of faith with favor. (Ps.
27:13,14). This course will identify barriers to confidence and
explore characteristics of a woman with confidence according to the
Bible. God's Word, the Holy Spirit, role playing, small group
interaction, will challenge you to upgrade at becoming 'really good at
being real' in sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in your sphere of
influence on a daily basis. You will boldly share the love of Christ
with others more than ever before with a newfound confidence after
taking this course. Your confidence shall be contagious. And it will
lead others to Christ. BEWARE...your faith life could really get
exciting if you take this course !!!
Marriage Builders 1
- Building Your Marriage. This class will give couples the necessary
tools to build a strong foundation by overcoming isolation, creating
oneness, receiving your spouse, constructing a relationship, fitting
together, and building in the spirit towards building a marital legacy.
Marriage Builders 2
- The Successful Blended Family. The class uses materials from "The
Smart Step-Family", DVD program by Ron L. Deal and will help
step-family couples recognize the unique personality and place of each
family member, solve the puzzles of step-parenting and step-children
relationships, learn to communicate with ex-spouses, honor families of
origin while developing new traditions.
Marriage Builders 3 - Improving
Communication in Your Marriage. This class will help couples overcome
barriers to communication, develop positive communication patterns,
make the marriage relationship a priority, resolve conflict, and
encourage spouses at the deepest level of communication for a healthy
marriage achieved by seeking God together.
The Principles of Character - This
class is designed to help Men form Biblical strategies to develop
strong growth. We will be discussing core issues with straight talk,
and an understanding of the need for God's fullness in a man's life.
